This is the training that launched The ManKind Project’s multicultural initiative
and has provided a common language and practical skills for men and women across the US and abroad. It is the complete presentation of the VISIONS© model on which the Isms & Issues workshop is based.
This training meets the MKP multicultural requirement for Leader Track.
Learn to understand cultural group dynamics and essential skills regarding issues of:
Color & Race Sexual Orientation Class Religion Gender & More!
What To Expect:
· An adult learning model utilizing cognitive, affective & behavioral methods
· A common conceptual framework and language
· Opportunities to explore your own cultural identity, assumptions, strengths, and areas for growth
· Group Dialogue Guidelines for consistently creating an atmosphere of professional courtesy and respect.
· Open to initiated men and women and to invited guests by permission
This workshop provides the language and concepts to integrate what you already know about working with group differences while extending your knowledge and skills. Participants will benefit from the workshop whether their interest is in learning a general multicultural process model or in receiving specific consultation on challenges they are facing in their organizations. We will invite participants to share examples of situations they face from a variety of settings and then apply the model for planning and problem solving.
Who Should Attend: This 2-day workshop is an advanced training which has provided applied consultation for executives, managers, team leaders, consultants, educators, clergy, board members and others who are called upon to lead a group through the exploration of differences. It is open members of the MKP and Women Within communities and their invited guests. This training is approved to meet MKP leadership certification requirements. Limited to 36 participants.
Course Leaders: Thomas Shelden Griggs, Ph.D. and Staff
Thomas is Founder and Principal of GriggsLeadership.com. He has over 30 years experience in inclusive diversity and leadership development and has been adjunct faculty at Duke University and the University of Richmond.
Registration: The tuition for this training weekend is $450.00. If you are registered with MKP USA as a contributing member the tuition for this training weekend is $350. No one has ever been turned away from the workshop on account of financial means.
